Solar Eclipse

Tomorrow we will have the chance to experience Solar Eclipse. According to PAGASA eclipse may be viewed in Metro Manila, Calayaan Island, Laoag City, Baguio City, Angeles City Pampanga, Puerto Princesa Palawan, Lucena City , Iloilo City, Cebu City, Zamboanga City, Jolo Sulu, Davao City and General Santos City.

For two and a half hours we will witness a partial solar eclipse. The total solar eclipse will cover India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, Central China, The Pacific Ocean, Ryukyu Islands, Marshall Islands and Kiribati.

According also to PAGASA viewing directly the eclipse may damage our retina. They said the safest way to view it is still indirect viewing, like projecting the image with a pinhole camera.

Lets just hope the weather is good so we can witness the eclipse tomorrow morning. It will start at around 8:26AM to 11:06 AM or pass. Maximum eclipse is expected at around 9:40 am to 10:44 am.
